Who We Are
Initially started as a trading business in the name M. Vanniarajan & Sons in Coimbatore, the company over the years have evolved into a superior Samba Ravai (emmer wheat brokens) manufacturer in the brand name Mayil Mark, manufactured at Ponmurugan Dhall Mills in Sulur employing and helping over 150 families working in the industry. This industry and brand is managed by three brothers Mr. V. Chandrasekar, Mr. V. Senthil Kumar and Mr. V.V. Balasubramanian.
Mr V. Chandrasekar (middle) initiated the idea of Samba Ravai manufacturing and trading of Emmer wheat and has been in the field for over 50 years, with his immense technical knowledge he has ventured and created a standard for Samba Ravai, Gram flour and Wheat flour in the Kongu region of Tamil Nadu. His initiative to turn M. Vanniarajan & Sons into a walk-in store allowed to establish trade relations with our customers directly, eventually ensuring a free market supply with open rates.
Mr. V.V. Balasubramanian (left) with immense knowledge in the trading sector, import of pulses opened the company to a wider market range our, with his search for automated cleaning technologies and never-ending quest to pack quality grocery items, with his great love towards processing other grains he introduced Fowler Westrup machines in the industry allowed for a faster and more hygiene production with a capacity of upto 20 TPH, from producing just 0.5 TPH.
Mr. V. Senthil Kumar’s (right) foresight to implement new divisions and diversify the products and reach various markets in Kerala and Karnataka, strengthen the business, his ideology to improve the quality of packed foods created a standard for FMCG food products in TN with implementation of Tetra pack for grocery items.
Altogether Mr. V.V. Balasubramanian with his extensive network gained knowledge about modern wheat processing methods and implemented Buhler machineries and implemented grain silos, this entire plant has a production capacity of over 60 tons per day in 12-hour shift. His ideology to expand into the energy sector supported by brothers Mr. V. Chandrasekar and Mr. V. Senthil Kumar led the company to invest in 1.5 MW generating wind turbines, located at Valiyur and Appaikanpatty, in TN. This investment paved a way to keep the running cost of industry at its minimum.
