As customers of Mayil Mark you have the right to know!
According to the reports from the FSSAI, the test performed for the Samba Wheat Brokens was done based on the regulation No. 2.4.23 for Durum Wheat Semolina (Triticum Durum). Which is false as the grain is totally different and the report is invalid.
Samba Wheat Brokens is a made from Emmer Wheat (Triticum Dicoccum), the specific type of wheat is considered as “Dalia” by MOFPI and NIFTEM under the PMFME Scheme, where the Food Safety regulation No. 2.4.6 - Food Grains. The link to the document is presented below.
Therefore due to this blunder by the FSSAI, a request was to be made by our “Coimbatore Maligai Vyabarigal Sangam” to the respected Commissioner of the Food Safety Dept on behalf of all the Millers of Samba Wheat Broken.
Upon request made, the “Coimbatore Maligai Vyabarigal Sangam” - President spread false information to the media and public only on the personal interest to promote their brand and yield sales from such a false claim against our brand. The information provided on Whatsapp is false as it has not been officially proved from Appeal.
The False Claims were made on Whatsapp, and with regards the claim there was no intention towards making a Public Health Awareness, as every miller is purchasing the same grain from the same location. Therefore it is very clear that this rumor on Whatsapp was fake.
So what did we do?
As people of a well renowned brand name, we got our prior appointments with the Commissioner of FSSAI, in Chennai and provided the letter and detailed the concern through our “Coimbatore Maligai Vyabarigal Sangam” and “Madurai Vyabarigal Sangam”. And the link for petition is given.
